The trick is not to build the wind towers until the end. Concentrate on earth in the key spots and fire and electricity just outside the key spots. I also like to use poison at the three entrances to soften up the enemies. Poison is cheap and powerful early on.
in reply to the last comment from "guest" (I know chad already helped you), but it seems that you only know of half the levels in story mode. if you slide your finger across the screen, you will see ten more levels. good luck.
no problem.i just noticed you said it was the last level, and assumed that you didn't know about the rest.
good luck beating the rest. they are kind of hard. if you get stuck, just read through all the posts on this discussion because someone has probably asked it. if not, feel free to ask.
On the swarm level. For some reason, this one game I could not beat. I think I completed almost everything else. What I finally found that worked is to do as said above, use the arrow towers purely for containment and force the monsters to the lower right corner, to an opening there. Where I was having problems was that my area of affect earths were seeming to barely dent those elementals around level 7-8, the ones even before the earth elementals, the fire ones I think.
Anyway, what finally made the difference to me is I began to suspect that there was a limit to the number of monsters affected by the earth, and there were so many coming from both directions through the choke point I'd made, it wasn't working, hence large numbers were getting through. I found if right around wave 6 I changed the overall path where the monsters got out, I could stagger the waves, so less were going through the choke points at any given time. I opened up the left side, right next to where they come out at the bottom, and then blocked off the opening I'd made for all of them at the lower right corner. I then quickly built out the path along the lower edge to the left side and built up earth towers there on that end and then built the maze upward. I was never able to go past maybe wave 8 if I didn't do this.
The other thing I found is that because of so many immunities you need to really try and balance the types of towers you end up leveling out,so that you are using a little bit of all of them, with an emphasis on the earths for their AOE's.
hey drosing, you are right, the earth towers damage is decreased by 10% with each mob hit. first mob gets 100% damage, second 90, third 80, fourth 70, and so on.
Chad and all of you hello, i'm glad to be a member of this forum.
A part to say that Besiegement is the best TD now on iPhone, i want just to ask you in witch way money bonus will be assign ( i think is 10% every minute ?? or when wave is finished ?? )
Second just want a confirm of Shalaka message beforemine, that say that earth decrease damage.
Interest is given every 15 seconds (game time), at 10%, up to a maximum of 25 gold. A cash register noise is played when it happens, and a little number floats out of the gold display. Many of the hard levels depend on strategies where you save interest.
^ WHOA, I had no idea Besiegement used interest! That's cool. I heard the cash register sound and money in-game, but I thought it was a bonus after finishing a wave or something.
Is this mentioned in the help / instructions for the game? Cause I know I read it through, and don't remember seeing that.
in my mind, interest is a feature... not a secret. It can certainly alter playing strategy (i.e. saving money early on). I think it should be documented, rather than having people guess why they randomly get money sometimes... But of course, it's up to you =)
There is no documentation on this game. I can program. I can create decent graphics. I can create and edit music and sounds. But I hate documentation. :P
chad, remember when I was a noob and I was trying to get my first number one spot and I was asking you a bunch of questions about scoring in your blog? I had a pretty good guess how the interest worked, but I did have to ask. and it would be good for people to know about rushing, too. all you would really have to do is add a page when you update the help booklet thing. whatever it is.
I agree that it's important that the interest be somehow documented. I recall how frustrating it was playing this game until I finally realized there was interest and the importance of saving up your gold as much as possible to maximize interest. And the only reason I figured it out was since I had played TapDefense before.
Hi, love the game but have now been stuck on "Everything Dies" for a while. I read here somewhere that tower specs were posted some time back but can't find them anywhere. I've done my own analysis of various towers damage per cost ratings but didn't factor in rate or range. Well, I'm not sure what the weighting of each characteristic would be if I did anyway.
For the most cost effective towers I've found; Arrows L3&4 are at 0.17 damage per cost Fire L2 at 0.18 d/c and Earth L3&4 at 0.23-0.24 d/c I was suprised to see Electricity L5 recommended somewhere here and 'as many as you can build' of them. They have a very inefficient 0.06 d/c rating. Certainly nowhere near as bad as the staggeringly uneconomical Poison towers but still, way below those other 3 mentioned.
Maybe there's some other unquantatative qualities I'm missing? Would love to see those other specs posted some time back. Cheers cobber
Electricity has the best damage output when you are facing several enemies. Earth is the best overall when facing multiple enemies. Fire is bugged and I would suggest staying away from them until version 1.2 is available.
Damage output is important, but so is tower placement. Place earth towers in corners, or in places where enemies have to pass by twice.
Poison was boosted for 1.2. It was meant for long, drawn out battles with big enemies. The only level where it would come into use would be Big Boss, but that level took another turn (which is really fun btw). As it stand now, it is sorta of useless. I like to use one at the entrances to soften mobs up. But if you are going strictly for high scores and efficiency, then yes, it is useless.
The list of raw tower data is here: http://besiegementgame.com/Towers.htm Note that I intend to create a real tower info page here in a few days with updated data for v1.2.
You can see that arrow towers are the best versus a single enemy. Wind comes close, and theoretically surpasses arrows because of its range. But you have to take the entire picture into view. Arrows and wind only hit a single target.
Of course this all changes with 1.2. I've found that fire and wind are the top dogs now. Water is actually useful now, and will be essential in the harder levels to come.
I need help with the swarm challenge please. I've read and tried all the suggestions above, but I can to level 9 at most. Can someone post some more light on this beyond what has already been suggested above?

Thank you. "
Wow, ever since Chad went on vacation these forums have really died down. Shakala, are you still around? Can you offer more advice on the swarm challenge please?
It is working. You need 5000 gold and to win a game. The easiest way to do this is to play the Big Boss Bonus challenge and use mostly bombs to kill the mobs.
Hey Chad first off I want to tell u this game is amazing! I got over 5000 on several levels and I won them all and I still have not gotten the achievement. Do have to get every goal?
Any clues as to how to beat the Hard 50 Pathed and Hard 50 Mazed. They are the only levels I haven't been able to complete and after about 50 tries on Pathed, I'm really starting to wonder if it's possible. My best has been to last through to about wave 33 (near the end of the undead, and just before the first wave blobs, using fire and electricity towers.
